What stays on your device, what we see in aggregate, and how to reach us.

Last updated: March 2026

The short version

Privacy is simple here. We do not sell your data. We do not run targeted ads. Your prayers, streaks, saved verses, and notes stay on your device by default. The only analytics we collect are anonymous page views and light feature counts (no personal information in those reports; we do not use them to identify you or tie an IP address to a named individual). Here’s the full breakdown.

Data we don’t collect

Nothing you don’t choose to give. No ad networks, no selling of data—ever. We don’t log your IP for identification, don’t store raw search queries or prayer content in analytics, and don’t use fingerprinting for ads.

What happens without an account (default experience)

Everything runs locally in your browser:

  • Prayers, notes, streaks, saved verses, reading plans, What God has done journal entries, and chapter reader bookmarks / “resume” spots stay in localStorage on your device only (nothing uploaded in v1 for the journal).
  • No data leaves your phone/computer unless you hit “sync” after signing in.
  • We do not ask for device GPS by default. The sky (homepage and kids) uses your browser clock plus a small same-site request that returns approximate latitude and longitude from our CDN’s IP-based geolocation (so sunset timing matches your region better). That response is held in sessionStorage for the day only; we do not use it to build a profile. If you turn on optional precise GPS (a local browser preference), those coordinates stay on your device—they are never sent to us.

This keeps your private moments truly private.

Anonymous usage stats (why we have them)

To improve the site and see what’s helping people most, we use:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — anonymous page views, feature usage, country-level location only (no IPs tied to individuals, no prayer content).
  • Plausible Analytics — even lighter, privacy-first stats (same anonymous level).

These help us know if the anxiety plan or kids’ corner is getting used—no personal details ever.

Tracking we don’t do

We do not track you across other websites for advertising. We do not use cookies to run targeted ads or sell your browsing habits. Personal spiritual content you keep in local tools (prayers, battles, notes) stays on your device unless you sign in to sync—or unless you choose to submit something (contact form, prayer wall, story share), as described in those sections.

Friday email list

For the Friday verse recap signup, we send at most one email per week (verse plus a short prayer).

No spam. We don’t add marketing or ad-tracking pixels to the messages we send; unsubscribe anytime (one click in the email, or write us). Your address is stored only to run that list.

When you choose to sign in / sync

  • Optional account via Supabase Auth: stores your email + saved content (prayers, notes, streaks) so it syncs across devices.
  • Push notification tokens (for daily verse reminders) go to Supabase/Firebase for delivery only—you can revoke in browser settings.
  • You can delete everything anytime: email support@todaysdailybattle.com.

Contact form & shop waitlist

If you use the contact form or the shop launch list, we store your email and message or product interest in our database (Supabase) so we can reply or notify you—not for general marketing or resale. Email us anytime to request deletion of those rows.

Retention — We keep contact messages and shop waitlist entries only as long as needed to respond or to send the launch notice you asked for, and we aim to delete them within about ninety (90) days after the issue is resolved or after the shop launch (whichever applies), unless a longer period is required by law. Operational backups may persist briefly after deletion.

Other services we use

  • Cloudflare — CDN and basic security (standard for fast, safe sites).
  • Google Fonts — for clean typography.
  • Stripe — only if you choose to support us (one-time donations).

None access your prayers or searches.

Kids & special notes

We don’t knowingly collect data from kids under 13. Kids Corner is for parents/guardians to use together.
