Activity Reminders
- Morning whisper — Say the month’s verse aloud together or alone; 20–30 seconds at breakfast or before school.
- Evening review — Say the verse once; one gentle question: what does it make you think about God?
- Verse journal — Write or draw the verse; young children sketch, older ones add one honest sentence.
- Verse walk — On a walk, repeat a phrase every few steps; fits summer or nature study.
- Verse art cards — Verse on one side, small drawing on the other; rotate one card per week.
- Verse in motion — Gentle acting (e.g. stand steady for courage verses); good for active kids.
- Song or chant — Soft chant or familiar tune rhythm; keep it reverent, not a performance.
- Fridge or mirror — Sticky note on fridge, mirror, or dashboard; read when you notice it.
- Family round — Each person one phrase around the table; split long verses.
- Hide God’s Word box — Decorated box of month cards; draw one weekly to review together.
- Prayer verse — Turn the verse into one short prayer in plain words.
- Verse sharing night — Monthly: favorite phrase and why; short, kind, no debate.
- Back-to-school card — Small verse card in lunchbox or backpack.
- Harvest gratitude — Verse plus thankful list or gratitude jar.
- Advent quiet — Verse card near wreath or nativity.
- Easter hope — Say the verse while coloring eggs or after a calm walk.
- Summer stillness — Porch, park, or yard; say the verse quietly.
- Porch or shade — After play, sit in shade; say the verse once. No discussion needed.
- VBS send-home whisper — Leaders and kids whisper the verse at the door; add a printed slip.
- Road-trip phrases — Each stop, add the next phrase of the verse.
- Rainy-day walk — Hallway verse walk: one phrase per doorway.
- Buddy up (VBS) — Older helper half the verse, younger repeats; swap tomorrow.
- Cool-down circle — After games: breathe once, verse softly, one sentence of thanks.
- Younger (about 6–9) — Say, draw, short prayers; kids’ study tracks when they help.
- Older (about 10–12+) — Own words or one real-life connection; no grading.
- School setting — One verse per month as class anchor; pair with yearly-rhythm.html.
- Church / VBS — Closing prayer verse or card with craft; optional kit take-home slip.
- Opt-out okay — If someone skips a day, that is fine; seeds, not perfection.
